BIOGRAPHY

​

Buse Nur Çelik is a soprano specializing in opera and classical music. She began her musical education at Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory, where she completed her Bachelor’s degree in Opera between 2016 and 2021. Continuing her academic journey, she started her Master’s studies in Classical Music (Voice) at Codarts Rotterdam in 2023. Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity to work with renowned artists and educators, including Eva Maria Westbroek, Zenfira Ismayilova, Alessandro Pagliazzi, Margreet Honig, and Paul McNamara. She has also collaborated with distinguished conductor Richard Egarr and participated in various masterclasses. Buse Nur Çelik has performed in numerous significant concerts and opera productions. In 2025, she took on the role of Sterre in the film-opera “This is not My UE”*. Her recent performances in 2024 include the Liberté Concert at the Dordrecht Museum, Brahms Choir Project with Laurens Academy. Nozze di Figaro in an opera project at Codarts Rotterdam in 2024, showcasing her ability to interpret one of Mozart’s most iconic soprano roles with depth and elegance. Buse Nur Çelik has also been actively involved in choir and ensemble performances throughout her career. She was a soloist at the Ceren NecipoÄŸlu International Harp Festival in Istanbul in 2020. In 2019, she performed with the HUADK Choir at the Presidential Symphony Orchestra (CSO) in Ankara, including the world premiere of Turgay Erdener’s UÄŸur Mumcu Cantata and Muammer Sun’s KurtuluÅŸ ve Cumhuriyet Müzikleri in the Republic Day Concert. She was also a member of the Saygun Philharmonic Choir, performing Felix Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream with CSO in 2018. Earlier in her career, she sang in Hacettepe University’s production of The Gypsy Baron (2016) and was a member of the ODTÜ Polyphonic Choir (2014) as well as the State Choir’s Children’s Choir in Zonguldak (2004-2005)
